You’ve got Q’s, We’ve got a’s
DO YOU HAVE A REGISTRY?
We have enough crap. Not that you’d get us crap. But we have 3 meat thermometers. So no, no registry. But we do have a honeymoon fund here, should you please.
WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
Most of the events are happening at Waimea Plantation Cottages and most guests are staying there together. Cottages have 1-3 bedrooms. If you’d like us to find you others to share a cottage with say so in your RSVP. Unfortunately, they do not do room blocks (*shakes fist*).
OK, BUT WHERE ELSE CAN I STAY?
The town of Poipu is 30 minutes away from Waimea and has a variety of hotels and Airbnbs. Some of these hotels include Kiahuna Plantation Resort,Sheraton Kauai Resort Villas, and Poipu Plantation Vacation Rentals.
HOW LONG SHOULD I STAY?
Most guests are staying Thursday to Monday (it’s a long weekend)! We have a solid crew staying in Hawaii for a few weeks so if you’d like to connect with them and form a loud, fun mass of mainland tourists, we’ll set you up.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Weather in this part of Kauai in May should be 81° (27°C) and sunny. Bring sunglasses, swimwear, athletic wear (for games!) and all the things you usually bring to a tropical vacation. Oh, and your mother says bring lots of sunscreen.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
For the welcome party, wear anything floral (if this doesn’t sound like something you own or would ever want to own, no worries we’ll adorn you with a flower crown or something) and for the wedding a festive outfit that you’ll be comfortable doing the horah and the cha cha slide in (just kidding, that song is on the DJ’s ban list) and just generally being yourself in.
DO YOU HAVE AN ARTISTIC VISION FOR THIS WEDDING?
Wow, so glad you asked. One of the many things that has brought us together is our love of hosting people and getting to see them go from single points to an interconnected shape. We want you to feel that you are not just a spectator to our terrible dance moves and cultural rituals, but that you are a part of making this weekend/our future the beautiful one we daydream of when bogged down in emails. This manifests as 3 days of games, moments of interactivity, and traditions old and new. Stay tuned.
